Master Hair Colorist Billy Lowe - Stirring the Pot

Hair color isn't as easy as you think. There are literally countless possibilities with even one or two tubes of color.  Truly endless possibilities when you're' speaking about 100 different color options and the different developers that go with them.   Perfecting a client's color formula adds even more challenges.  Things like:
  • How often a client shampoos
  • Hair type
  • How active is their lifestyle
  • Do they swim
  • Are they using professionally recommended products
etc etc etc.   All of these variables play a critical role in the outcome of a client's hair color.   I meet so many clients each and every year who took upon themselves, the daring task I might add, of coloring their own hair.  Whether in a box or whether it grows on a tree (lemons anyone?) - clients should never attempt to color their own hair!  Clients come to me time and time again, having spent $10 on a box of color, only to have to pay me $300-$500 to correct it.  What a chore.  In the beginning, it would only have cost them $150 or $200 to have it done right in the first place.

Simply put, never color your own hair.  You risk poor formulation, poor results, missing sections in the back, uneven concentrations, over-saturation, and making a total mess at your kitchen sink.  So the next time you want to book hair color in Beverly Hills, give us a call at the studio.   We look forward to seeing you soon.
